Frequently Asked Questions
How much is it to register for flag football?
The regular registration fee is $200 for the season. The 4U division registration fee is $175.
SNHFFL offers a $50 early registration discount before regular season pricing begins. We strongly encourage families through league communications, emails, and social media reminders to take advantage of the early registration savings before the discount period ends.
Early registration helps SNHFFL properly prepare for the season, including planning divisions, organizing teams, securing coaches, ordering equipment, and creating the best possible experience for all players. Registration prices increase as the season gets closer because it becomes more challenging to plan when a large number of registrations come in during the final weeks before the season begins.
Refunds are only available before registration closes. Approved refunds will have a $30 administrative fee deducted, along with any processing fees.
Once registration closes refunds are no longer available.
Accurate player information is required during registration. Providing false information, including an incorrect birthdate to place a player into the wrong division, will result in removal from the league without a refund.
Is flag football safe?
NFL FLAG football is a non-contact sport. There are no pads, helmets, tackling, blocking, pushing, diving, or shoving.
Flag football teaches the fundamentals of football in a fun, competitive, and safe environment. Like any youth sport, injuries can still occur. Accidental contact will happen; these are children.
What kind of commitment is required?
NFL FLAG is designed to be a family-friendly commitment for players, parents, and coaches.
Games are played on Sundays during the season. Families can typically expect to be in and out of the field in under two hours on game days.
Practices are optional and determined by each individual head coach. Some coaches may choose to hold practices, while others may not.
For teams that do practice, practices are typically held once per week and are usually 90 minutes or less.
What equipment is needed?
Your NFL FLAG official jersey and flag belt are included with registration. Team footballs are provided to coaches.
Players will receive their jersey and flags before the first preseason game.
Players only need:
• Sneakers or cleats (cleats recommended)
• No metal spikes allowed
A mouth guard is optional but recommended for youth sports.
Where will the games be played?
