How much is it to register for flag football?
The registration fee is $120 for the season. 4U registration is $110. Refunds will only be issued before the evaluations. Once evaluations occur refunds are not available. Be aware that giving the wrong birth date information will get you family band for life. A refund will not be offered if discovered after the evaluations and draft.
Is flag football safe?
NFL Flag football is non-contact. There are no pads, no helmets, no blocking, no pushing, no diving and no shoving. Flag football teaches the basics of football as is designed to be fun and safe. Yes, flag football is safe!!!
What kind of commitment is required?
NFL FLAG is a very low commitment for players, parents and coaches alike. There is one scheduled practice and game each week during the season, and if the team agrees to it an additional mid-week practice can be arranged. Most games are played on Sundays.
What equipment is needed?
Your NFL FLAG official jersey, flag belts, and team football (provided to the coach) are all included in the registration fee, your coach will distribute the jerseys and flags just before your first game. A mouth guard is optional but we recommend it for any youth sport, and any pair of sneakers or cleats will do (cleats preferred). No metal spikes!!!
Where will the games be played?
All the games will be played at Hollis Brookline High School. When we outgrow the availability of field time we will need to make use of additional fields in the community, but this is not a travel league so you will not need to be driving all over the place.
Is there a traveling team?
We may organize traveling teams as part of the SNHFFL. These will be "all-star" or "select" teams for the purpose of tournament competition. We may also have groups that want to travel together and we will help those groups find tournaments and events they can take part in.
Can I request my son/daughter be on a team with their sibling?
Yes, sibling requests are allowed in all divisions of course.
I can only register for my child's age division - what if we want to play in a different age division?
Participants are never allowed to play "down" into a younger age division. Participants are allowed to play "up" - simply request this during registration. We understand that siblings may want to be on the same team, or a child young for their grade may want to play with their school peers.
What are the age categories?
The age categories are: 3 to 4 = 4U, 5 to 6 = 6U, 7 to 8 = 8U, 9 to 10 = 10U, 11 to 12 = 12U, 13 to 14 = 14U, 15 to 17 = 17U. League Age is determined by the player’s age as of April 1st (spring) or August 1st (fall). Misleading or giving the wrong birth date information will get your family removed from our league for life. A refund will not be offered if discovered after evaluations and the draft.
Are there any size or weight restrictions?
There are no size or weight restrictions.
Will the kids play in the rain?
Yes, we will play in the rain, this is still football! Unless SAU asks us a cancel, then we will postpone the games until a later date. Any rainouts will be communicated promptly by the league and the coaches.
Are there any tournaments we can take part in after the season?
Yes, the biggest tournament of the year is the NFL FLAG regional qualifier usually held in the Fall in the New England area. There is also a football festival tournament organized by the North Shore Flag Football League (NSFFL) in MA every June, last year the tournament had 112 teams from 8 different states and 26 different NFL FLAG leagues.

Contact us either through the "contact us" section or send an e-mail to [email protected]. All coaches must fill out a registration form and attend the coaches meeting usually held one week before the season starts.
When and where can I register?
You can only register online, on this website, by clicking on the REGISTRATION menu on the main page. Registration typically opens up 2-3 months before the start of the spring or fall season, as applicable.
